Bridget Osawaru was abducted at her residence along Sapele road in Benin City on December 10th. Her abductors had collected N1.5m three days after the kidnapping but refused to release her until she was found dead.
Late Bridget’s body was found near Okhuahie hill in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State.
Police sources said that the injuries that were found on her body indicated that she might have been stabbed.
It was gathered that police is working on the theory that she could have been assassinated.
The case has been transferred to the homicide section at the State Police headquarters.
Police spokesman, DSP Moses Eguaveon could not be reached for comments.
